Jessica Iñiguez

My career in communications began in 1997 when I designed a flyer for my uncle’s sandwich shop in my third-grade classroom in Santa Cruz, California. My aunt was visiting from Mexico and had been so impressed with my other Kid Pix digital creations that I was hired on the spot.

“E-L S-I-R-I-S,” I typed into the text box. I can still remember the rest of the layout and the sub sandwich graphic I managed to get on there. Just as I was about to click File > Print, I heard my teacher, Mr. Silvers, behind me reading aloud the marketing copy I had written (in Spanish) on my restaurant promotion artwork.

“What’s that?” he asked.

“It’s nothing!” I quietly exclaimed as I clicked to close the program, file unsaved.

The flyer never made it to Mexico, but I have since taken on many other jobs.

My work is sometimes described as “making things look good.” I have learned that “good” can mean clearly communicated, inspirational, mobilizing, and authentic. For the last 15 years, my work has reached millions through campaigns, websites, events, documentaries, and more because I’m committed to creating thoughtfully, humanly, and with heart.

Infinita Channel, my visual résumé and creative portfolio, is a collection of campaigns, brand worlds, and publications that reflect those intentions. Thank you for visiting.
